Interesting columnn from the WSJ about the potential need for Americans to start stockpiling food, as food-price inflation is rising faster than the value of your money.

I will be buying some pasta, rice and canned goods this weekend because I am a sucker for end-times alarmism. But the article does raise a larger point worth considering: as the commodities (foodstuffs obviously, but also oil and water) that are used to manufacture cheap american processed food soar in cost, will we ultimately get priced out of our bad eating habits?
