Today the New York Times gets all geeked about the growing Brooklyn artisanal food movement. It’s sort of a greatest-hits recap of who’s been cooking what over the past few years, including Marlow & Sons, Mast Bros. Chocolate, The Brooklyn Kitchen, Sixpoint Craft Ales, Urban Rustic and others.

Well, some dirtier, more overcrowded approximation of that. But still. Gowanus Lounge has posted the full update from the NYC Parks Dept. and Rogers Marvel Architects. The consensus reaction seems to be apprehensive awesomeness. All the funding is still in place and it is projected to be open in two years.

Target, Alexander McQueen, and Discount...
In preparation for Alexander McQueen’s special collection for Target, the upmarket clothier and the discount retailer are launching a pop-up ‘market’ in the St. John’s Center. According to fashion blog Nitrolicious:
